Australia is home to some of the most liveable cities in the world, so it’s no surprise that Australian Real Estate is so sought after.
From leafy inner-city areas to sunny coastal hot spots, customers can be spoiled for choice.
“Looking through the options, it’s clear that the criteria for ‘best’ include high levels of amenities, a good sense of community, closeness to the city, an enviable lifestyle or a strong sense of culture,” says PropTrack senior economist Eleanor Creagh.
“These sought-after areas are often located in desirable locations, near local amenities such as shopping, green space, parks and recreational amenities, or growing areas with trendy residential areas.”
Others are family-friendly suburbs that are safe, have a good sense of community, access to top schools and are close to parks and playgrounds that attract many people.
“Some of the highest-priced and most in-demand suburbs in every capital city have these qualities,” Ms Creagh said.
“These are great places to live, whether buying or renting, and have a high level of residential convenience.”
Typically, sought-after suburbs tend to be better insulated from market fluctuations, such as those being felt right now.
“Whether the market is up or down, people still want to live in areas like this,” she said.
